It was no different with XFLARE!

Behind our system are two brilliant minds: Volker and Andi.
Andi originally comes from the field of aerospace and satellite technology and already had a wealth of experience in robotics.
Volker began his career as an automotive mechanic and later discovered his true passion in welding. Today, he runs a specialist wholesale business for welding and cutting technology in Ortenburg near Passau and knows the practical side of metal construction like no other.

When Andi and Volker met by chance at the Technical University of Munich in 2012, it quickly became clear that they wanted to combine their ideas and expertise. ⚡️

Together, they founded FS Robotics and continued working on the systems that Volker had developed. When a customer later approached Volker with a welding application, a brilliant idea was born: Why shouldn’t a plasma cutting table also be used for welding?
No sooner said than done. Andi and Volker worked together to implement the idea and developed the first XFLARE. 🚀

Andi is our IT expert and developed and wrote all of the software and user interface for the XFLARE himself. He is the reason why the XFLARE is so easy and intuitive to use and can be flexibly adapted to different processes, tasks, and materials.
Together with Volker’s in-depth knowledge of welding and cutting technology, they are the perfect team. 🙌🏻
